     Major Geoffrey Charles Reid is the son of Lt.-Col. Charles Savile Reid.1 He married Helen Margaret Napier, daughter of Lt.-Col. Hon. Charles Frederick Hamilton Napier and Helen Mary Campbell Brook-Morgan, on 14 July 1944.1
     He gained the rank of Major in the South Staffordshire Regiment.1 His marriage to Helen Margaret Napier was annulled in 1958.1

     Hon. Sir Albert Edward Alexander Napier was born on 4 September 1881.1 He was the son of Field Marshal Robert Cornelis Napier, 1st Baron Napier of Magdala and Mary Cecilia Scott.2 He married Gladys White, daughter of Field Marshal Sir George Stuart White, V.C. and Amelia Maria Baly, on 29 August 1917.1 He died on 18 July 1973 at age 91.1
     He was educated at Eton College, Windsor, Berkshire, England.1 He graduated from New College, Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, England, in 1904 with a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.)1 He was admitted to Inner Temple in 1909 entitled to practise as a barrister.1 He was Private Secretary to Lord Chancellor between 1915 and 1919.1 He was Deputy Clerk Crown, Lord Chancellor's Department between 1919 and 1944.1 He graduated from New College, Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, England, in 1932 with a Master of Arts (M.A.)1 He was Clerk Crown in Chancery between 1944 and 1954.1 He was Assistant Secretary, Lord Chancellor's Department between 1944 and 1954.1 He was appointed Knight Commander, Order of the Bath (K.C.B.) in 1945.1 He was appointed King's Counsel (K.C.) in 1947.1 He was appointed Knight Commander, Royal Victorian Order (K.C.V.O.) in 1954.1

     From 29 August 1917, her married name became Napier.
