     William Eyre Eyre-Matcham was born on 10 April 1823.1 He was the son of George Nelson Matcham and Harriet Eyre.2 He married Mary Elizabeth Long, daughter of Henry Lawes Long and Lady Catherine Walpole, on 3 January 1861.1 He died on 11 July 1906 at age 83.1
     He was given the name of William Eyre Matcham at birth.1 He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.)1 He held the office of Deputy Lieutenant (D.L.)1 He lived at Newhouse, Wiltshire, England.1 On 11 April 1889 his name was legally changed to William Eyre Eyre-Matcham by Deed Poll.1
