Rodney Howell Palmer, son of Eustace Exall Palmer and Madeline Mary Howell, on 19 September 1934.1 She and Lt.-Col. Rodney Howell Palmer were divorced in 1949.1 She married, secondly, Norman John Ainsworth, son of William John Ainsworth, on 27 January 1950.4
     From 19 September 1934, her married name became Palmer.1 From 27 January 1950, her married name became Ainsworth.4

     Sir Roderick Edward Barclay was born on 22 February 1909.2 He was the son of Joseph Gurney Barclay and Gillian Mary Birkbeck. He married Jean Gladstone, daughter of Sir Hugh Steuart Gladstone of Capenoch and Cecil Emily Chetwynd-Talbot, in 1934.2 He died on 24 October 1996 at age 87.2
     He was educated at Harrow School, Harrow, London, England.2 He was educated at Cambridge University, Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, England.2 He was appointed Companion, Order of St. Michael and St. George (C.M.G.) in 1948.2 He was Principal Private Secretary tothe Foreign Secretary between 1949 and 1951.2 He was appointed Commander, Royal Victorian Order (C.V.O.) in 1953.2 He was appointed Knight Commander, Order of St. Michael and St. George (K.C.M.G.) in 1955.1 He held the office of Ambassador to Denmark between 1956 and 1960.2 He was appointed Knight Commander, Royal Victorian Order (K.C.V.O.) in 1957.2 He held the office of Ambassador to Belgium between 1963 and 1969.2 He was appointed Knight Grand Cross, Royal Victorian Order (G.C.V.O.) in 1966.1
