     Margaret Chamberlain was the daughter of Michael Chamberlain.² She married Alexander Monypenny, 22nd of Pitmilly, son of David Monypenny, 21st of Pitmilly and Ann Marjoribanks, in November 1767.¹ She died in December 1797.¹
     After her marriage, Margaret Chamberlain was styled as Baroness Monypenny, of Pitmilly, co. Fife [U.K.] in November 1767.¹ From November 1767, her married name became Monypenny.¹ They had three other sons and two daughters.¹

     David Monypenny, 23rd of Pitmilly was born in 1769.¹ He was the son of Alexander Monypenny, 22nd of Pitmilly and Margaret Chamberlain.² He married, firstly, Mary Stuart, daughter of Andrew Stuart.¹ He married, secondly, Marie Sophia Abercromby, daughter of Sir George Abercromby of Birkenbog, 4th Bt. and Hon. Jane Ogilvy, on 16 September 1810.¹ He died in 1850, without issue.¹
     He was a practising advocate.¹ He succeeded as the 23rd Monypenny, of Pitmilly, co. Fife [U.K.] on 22 December 1801.¹ He held the office of Sheriff of Fife.¹ He held the office of Solicitor-General [Scotland] in 1811.¹ He held the office of Lord of Session [Scotland] as Lord Pitmilly in 1813.¹

     William Tankerville Monypenny, 24th of Pitmilly was the son of Alexander Monypenny, 22nd of Pitmilly and Margaret Chamberlain.² He married Hannah Spens, daughter of Lt.-Col. James Spens, 2nd of Craigsanquhar and Elizabeth Joanna Davidson, in 1844.¹ He died on 10 January 1869, without issue.¹
     He succeeded as the 24th Monypenny, of Pitmilly, co. Fife [U.K.] in 1850.¹

     Hon. Francis Monypenny was the son of Alexander Monypenny, 22nd of Pitmilly and Margaret Chamberlain.² He died on 22 August 1791, unmarried.¹

     Hon. Michael Monypenny was born on 1 October 1771.¹ He was the son of Alexander Monypenny, 22nd of Pitmilly and Margaret Chamberlain.² He died on 16 January 1807 at age 35.¹
     He was commander of the 73rd Regiment Siege of Seringapatam.¹

     Hon. Alexander Monypenny was born in 1778.¹ He was the son of Alexander Monypenny, 22nd of Pitmilly and Margaret Chamberlain.² He died between 1844 and 1845, unmarried.¹
