     Charles Murray Kennedy St. Clair, 8th/17th Lord Sinclair was born on 21 June 1914.2 He was the son of Archibald James Murray St. Clair, 7th/16th Lord Sinclair and Violet Frances Kennedy.2 He married Anne Lettice Cotterell, daughter of Lt.-Col. Sir Richard Charles Geers Cotterell, 5th Bt. and Lady Lettice Lygon, on 6 January 1968.2 He died on 1 April 2004 at age 89.3
     He was educated at Eton College, Windsor, Berkshire, England.2 He graduated from Magdalene College, Cambridge University, Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, England, in 1936 with a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.)2 He fought in the Palestine Campaign between 1937 and 1939, where he was wounded and was mentioned in dispatches.2 He fought in the Second World War.2 He was admitted to Royal Company of Archers.2 He retired from the military in 1947, with the rank of Major, late of the Coldstream Guards.2 He partipicated in an ordinance between 1949 and 1957; Portcullis Pursuivant of Arms.2 He was appointed Lieutenant, Royal Victorian Order (L.V.O.) in 1953.2 He was Extra Equerry to HM Queen Elizabeth The Queen Mother between 1953 and 2002.2 He held the office of York Herald between 1957 and 1968.2 He succeeded as the 17th Lord Sinclair [S., 1449] on 25 November 1957.1 He succeeded as the 8th Lord Sinclair [S., 1677] on 25 November 1957.1 He was appointed Representative Peer [Scotland] between 1959 and 1963.2 He was Honorary Genealogist of the Royal Victorian Order between 1960 and 1968.2 He held the office of Deputy Lieutenant (D.L.) of Kirkcudbrightshire between 1969 and 1974.2 He held the office of Deputy Lieutenant (D.L.) of Dumfries and Galloway between 1974 and 1977.2 He held the office of Vice-Lord-Lieutenant of Dumfries and Galloway Region (District of Stewartry) between 1977 and 1982.2 He was Lord-Lieutenant of Dumfries and Galloway Region (District of Stewartry) between 1982 and 1989.2 He was appointed Commander, Royal Victorian Order (C.V.O.) in 1990.2 He lived in 2003 at Knocknalling, St. John's Town of Dalry, Castle Douglas, Kirkcudbrightshire, Scotland.2

     Matthew Murray Kennedy St. Clair, 9th/18th Lord Sinclair was born on 9 December 1968.1 He is the son of Charles Murray Kennedy St. Clair, 8th/17th Lord Sinclair and Anne Lettice Cotterell.1 He married Laura C. Coode, daughter of Jonathan Arundell Coode and Judith Anne Hall, on 5 November 2005 at St. Meubred's, Cardinham, Cornwall, England.2
     He succeeded as the 9th Lord Sinclair [S., 1677] on 1 April 2004.1 He succeeded as the 18th Lord Sinclair [S., 1449] on 1 April 2004.1

     Captain Christopher Digby Leyland was born on 24 December 1892.2 He was the son of Christopher John Leyland and Helen Dora Cayley.2 He married Enid Clayton Swan, daughter of Colonel Robert Clayton Swan.3 He married Sylvia Evelyn Cotterell, daughter of Sir John Richard Geers Cotterell, 4th Bt. and Lady Evelyn Amy Gordon-Lennox, on 16 November 1916.1 He and Sylvia Evelyn Cotterell were divorced in 1929.1 He died on 1 December 1971 at age 78.1
     He gained the rank of Captain in the 1st Life Guards.1 He lived at Haggerston Castle, Northumberland, EnglandG. He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.)1

Hermione Frances Caroline Fellowes, on 17 February 1942.1 She died on 11 March 1997 at age 79.1
     Her married name became Gordon-Lennox.
