     John Rashleigh married Alice Lanyon, daughter of William Lanyon.1 He died on 10 August 1582.1
     He was a part of the younger branch of the Rashleighs of Rashleigh, Devon.1 He was a merchant at Fowey.1 They also had six daughters.1

     John Rashleigh was born in 1554.2 He was the son of John Rashleigh and Alice Lanyon.3 He married Alice Bonython in 1575.4 He died on 12 May 1624.1
     At Menabilly, Cornwall, England, he built a mansion.1 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Fowey circa 1589.1 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Fowey in 1597.1

     Philip Rashleigh was born on 28 December 1729.1 He was the son of Jonathan Rashleigh and Mary Clayton.2 He married Jane Pole, daughter of Reverend Carolus Pole and Sarah Rashleigh.1 He died on 26 June 1811 at age 81, without issue.1
     He was appointed Fellow, Royal Society (F.R.S.)3 In 1774 he saved the Trewhiddle Hoard (of metal work and coins from the Saxon era)when it was discovered by tin-workers in Trewhiddle, Cornwall.3 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Fowey.1 He lived at Menabilly, Cornwall, England.1
