     John Edward Jocelyn Davie was born on 30 May 1910 at St. George Hanover Square, London, England.1 He was the son of Colonel Bertie George Davie and Flora Helen Frances McCreagh-Thornhill.1 He married Hon. Margaret Anne Boot, daughter of John Boot, 2nd Baron Trent and Margaret Joyce Pyman, on 29 June 1940.2 He and Hon. Margaret Anne Boot were divorced in 1948.2 He died in 1998 at Yeovil, Somerset, England.1

     Geraldine Frances Walpole was the daughter of Lt.-Gen. Sir Robert Walpole and Gertrude Ford.2 She married Sir Colman Battie Rashleigh, 3rd Bt., son of Sir Colman Rashleigh, 2nd Bt. and Mary Anne Kendall, on 10 October 1872.1 She died on 24 December 1876.2
     From 10 October 1872, her married name became Rashleigh.

     He fought in the First World War, he was mentioned in despatches.1 He gained the rank of Lieutenant in the Royal Army Service Corps.1 He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.) for Cornwall.1 He fought in the Second World War.1 He gained the rank of Captain in the Intelligence Corps.1
