     James Reid was born on 27 July 1889.1 He was the son of Sir Hugh Reid of Springburn, 1st Bt. and Marion Maclune Bell.2 He died on 25 September 1915 at age 26, killed in action in the Battle of Loos.1
     He was educated at Trinity College, Glenalmond, Perthshire, Scotland.1 He graduated from Trinity College, Cambridge University, Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, England, with a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.)1 He fought in the First World War, where he was mentioned in despatches.1 He gained the rank of Captain in the 10th Battalion, Highland Light Infantry.1

     Sir Douglas Neilson Reid of Springburn, 2nd Bt. was born on 12 February 1898.1 He is the son of Sir Hugh Reid of Springburn, 1st Bt. and Marion Maclune Bell.2 He married Margaret Brighton Young Maxtone, daughter of Robert Young Maxtone, on 2 June 1926.1 He died on 31 August 1971 at age 73.1
     He was educated at Loretto School, Edinburgh, Midlothian, Scotland.1 He gained the rank of Lieutenant in the Highland Light Infantry.1 He fought in the First World War.1 He gained the rank of Lieutenant in the Royal Flying Corps and Royal Air Force.1 He was educated at Clare College, Cambridge University, Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, England.1 He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.) for Ross and Cromarty in 1934.1 He succeeded as the 2nd Baronet Reid, of Springburn, co. Glasgow and Kilmaurs, co. Ayr [U.K., 1922] on 7 July 1935.1 He gained the rank of Flying Officer in the Royal Air Force Volunteer Reserve.1 He fought in the Second World War between 1939 and 1941.1 He was admitted to the Royal Company of Archers.1

     George Hugh Neilson Reid was born on 30 December 1901.1 He was the son of Sir Hugh Reid of Springburn, 1st Bt. and Marion Maclune Bell.2 He married Madeleine Graburn Bigelow, daughter of Maurice Wells Bigelow, on 9 March 1950.1 He died on 19 April 1961 at age 59, without issue.1
     He was educated at Fettes College, Edinburgh, Midlothian, Scotland.1 He fought in the Second World War.1 He gained the rank of Major in the 5th/8th Battalion, The Cameronians (Territorial Army.)1 He was Territorial Decoration (T.D.)1 He was admitted to the Royal Company of Archers.1

     From before 1950, her married name became Baird.1 From 9 March 1950, her married name became Reid.
