     Reverend James Rose is the son of Reverend Henry Rose.2
     He graduated from Marischal College, Aberdeen, Aberdeenshire, Scotland, in 1638 with a Master of Arts (M.A.)1 He was Minister in 1652 at Strathdeveron, Scotland.1 He was Minister in 1662 at Cabrach, Scotland.1 He was Minister in 1668 at Tarland, Aberdeenshire, Scotland.1

     Margaret Vaus is the daughter of unknown Vaus of Lochslin.2 She married, firstly, Alexander Cuthbert of Easter Drakies.1 She married, secondly, Ian Mac-a-Bharon Rose of Wester Drakies, son of Hugh Rose, 9th of Kilravock and Agnes Urquhart, after 1547, whom he appears to have carried off.1
     Her married name became Cuthbert.1 From after 1547, her married name became Rose.
