     Maj.-Gen. Charles Trelawny was born circa 1653.2 He was the son of Sir Jonathan Trelawny, 2nd Bt. and Mary Seymour.1 He married Anne Lower, daughter of Richard Lower, on 1 May 1690.2 He married Elizabeth Mitchell on 25 June 1699.2 He died on 24 September 1731 at Hengar, Cornwall, England.2
     He gained the rank of Major-General.3 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for East Looe in 1685.2 He held the office of Governor of Plymouth between 1696 and 1713.2 He held the office of Governor of Plymouth in 1698.3

     Sir John Trelawny, 1st Bt. was born on 24 April 1592.2 He was the son of Sir Jonathan Trelawny and Elizabeth Killigrew.3 He married, firstly, Elizabeth Mohun, daughter of Sir Reginald Mohun, 1st Bt..2 He married, secondly, Tristam Gorges, daughter of Dougals Gorges.2 He died circa 13 February 1664.2 He was buried on 16 February 1664.2
     He was created 1st Baronet Trelawny, of Trelawny, Cornwall [England] on 1 July 1628.2 He held the office of Sheriff of Cornwall circa 1631.2

     He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for West Looe in 1677.1
