     Arnold Sandwith Ward was born in 1887 at Oxford, Oxfordshire, England.1 He was the son of Humphrey Ward and Mary Augusta Arnold.1 He died in 1950.1
     He was educated at Eton College, Windsor, Berkshire, England.1 He was educated at Balliol College, Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, England.1 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) (Conservative) for Watford between 1910 and 1918.1 He fought in the First World War.1

Alexander Abernethy of Lessindrum was the son of Alexander Abernethy, 6th Lord Saltoun of Abernethy and Lady Alison Keith.2 He married by contract, firstly, Elizabeth Crichton, daughter of Sir James Crichton of Frendraught and Lady Johanna Keith, on 7 November 1589.1 He died on 10 April 1603.1
     He lived at Wester Saltoun, Scotland.1

     Sir James Crichton of Frendraught was born circa 1541.2 He was the son of William Crichton of Frendraught and Hon. Agnes Abernethy.2 He married Lady Johanna Keith, daughter of William Keith, 3rd Earl Marischal and Margaret Keith.2 He died circa June 1612.2
     On 11 August 1546 he had sasine of his inheritance as a minor.2 He chose as curator his kinsman George Crichton of Little Forg.2

     Elizabeth Crichton is the daughter of Sir James Crichton of Frendraught and Lady Johanna Keith.2 A contract for the marriage of Elizabeth Crichton and Hon. Alexander Abernethy of Lessindrum was signed on 7 November 1589.1 She married, secondly, Alexander Cranstoun before March 1612 at Leith, East Lothian, Scotland.2
     From 7 November 1589, her married name became Abernethy. From before March 1612, her married name became Cranstoun.2
