     Amelius Morland Smith was born on 30 January 1845.1 He was the son of Major Edward Heathcote Smith and Christina Mackintosh.2 He married Louisa Howorth, daughter of Henry Howorth, on 30 May 1877.1 He died on 27 May 1929 at age 84.1
     He gained the rank of officer in the 18th Hussars.1 He was Assistant Colonial Secretary for New Zealand.1 He also had two sons, who died unmarried.1

     Louisa Howorth was the daughter of Henry Howorth.2 She married Amelius Morland Smith, son of Major Edward Heathcote Smith and Christina Mackintosh, on 30 May 1877.1 She died on 31 December 1942.1
     From 30 May 1877, her married name became Smith.

     Reverend Heathcote Smith was born on 19 December 1847.1 He was the son of Major Edward Heathcote Smith and Christina Mackintosh.2 He married, firstly, Clara Jane Soden, daughter of John Ross Soden, on 1 May 1873.1 He married, secondly, Louisa Floyd White, daughter of George White, on 17 October 1899.1 He died in 1914.1
     He was Rector at Kingweston, Somerset, England.1 He was Vicar at St. Michael's, Princetown, Dartmouth, Devon, England.1
