     Sir Emsley Carr was born on 1 May 1867 at 9 Hunslet Road, Hunslet, Leeds, Yorkshire, England.2 He was the son of Thomas Hay Carr and Sarah Jane Emsley.2 He married Jenny Lascelles Carr, daughter of Lascelles Carr, on 19 June 1895 at St. Giles, London, England.3 He died in 1941.4
     He lived at Walton-on-the-Hill, Surrey, England.1 He was a journlaist with the Western Mail.2 He was editor of News of the World.2 He was appointed Knight in 1918.2 He held the office of High Sheriff of Glamorgan in 1938.3

Harry Lascelles Carr was born on 8 October 1907 at Lambeth, London, England.2,3 He was the son of Sir Emsley Carr and Jenny Lascelles Carr.4,2 He married Eileen Mary Smith, daughter of Sir Bracewell Smith, 1st Bt. and Edith Smith Whitaker, in April 1933.1 He died on 18 August 1943 at age 35 at Marylebone, London, England, following an operation.1,3
     He was educated at Clifton College, Clifton, Bristol, England.3 He was educated at Trinity Hall, Cambridge University, Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, England.3 He was a cricketeer for Glamorgan in 1934.3 He gained the rank of Flight Lieutenant in the Royal Air Force Volunteer Reserve.5 He fought in the Second World War.5
