     Charlotte Maria Eyre was born circa 1818 at Bramshaw, Wiltshire, England.2 She was the daughter of George Eyre and Frances Hulse.3 She married Admiral James Newburgh Strange, son of Sir Thomas Andrew Lumisden Strange and Louisa Burroughs, on 8 January 1846 at London, England.1,2 She died on 25 January 1909 at North Hill, Bagshot, Surrey, England.2
     From 8 January 1846, her married name became Strange.

     He gained the rank of Colonel.1
