     Hon. Arthur James Beresford Lowther was born on 28 October 1888.1 He was the son of James William Lowther, 1st Viscount Ullswater and Mary Frances Beresford-Hope.2 He died on 2 March 1967 at age 78, unmarried.1
     He was educated at Eton College, Windsor, Berkshire, England.1 He was admitted to Inner Temple in 1911 entitled to practise as a barrister.1 He gained the rank of Captain in the 3rd Battalion, Suffolk Regiment.1 He fought in the First World War, where he was wounded.1 He was Assistant Commissioner of Kenya Colony between 1918 and 1920.2 He was Aide-de-Camp to Governor of Southern Rhodesia in 1923.2

     Kenneth Trist Urquhart was born on 12 November 1932.1 He is the son of Wilkins Fisk Urquhart, 9th of Braelangwell and Alys Marie Rivet.2 He married Mary Virginia Berdou, daughter of Lionel Berdou, on 6 June 1959.1
     He graduated from Loyola University of Chicago, Chicago, Illinois, U.S.A.G, with a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.)2 He graduated from Tulane University, New Orleans, Louisiana, U.S.A., with a Master of Arts (M.A.)1 He was Director of Confederate Museum between 1959 and 1968 at New Orleans, Louisiana, U.S.A.1 He was Associate Professor of History before 1974 at St. Mary's College, New Orleans, Louisiana, U.S.A.1 He was appointed Fellow, Society of Antiquaries, Scotland (F.S.A.Scot.)1 He was Director of Reserve Library, Historic New Orleans Collection between 1975 and 1982.2 He held the position of 27th Chief of the Clan Urquhart from in 1976. Under system known as tanistry (nomination as successor by the previous Chief, in this case, 2nd son in lieu of the next heir, in this case eldest son.1 He was recognised by Lord Lyon King of Arms, and matriculated his arms at the Lyons Court on 12 March 1999.1 He lived in 2003 at 507 Jefferson Park Avenue, Jefferson, New Orleans, Louisiana, U.S.A.1
