     Mary Cotteel was the daughter of Sir Thomas Cotteel.2 She married Sir Richard Edgcumbe, son of Sir Piers Edgcumbe and Margaret Luttrell, in 1608.1 She died in 1620.1

     Sir Offley Wakeman, 4th Bt. was born on 19 October 1887.1 He was the son of Sir Offley Wakeman, 3rd Bt. and Catherine Mary Rouse-Boughton.2 He married, firstly, Winifred Anne Prideaux-Brune, daughter of Colonel Charles Robert Prideaux-Brune and Hon. Katharine Cecilia Knatchbull-Hugessen, on 25 November 1920.1 He married, secondly, Josceline Etheldreda Mitford, daughter of Maj.-Gen. Bertram Reveley Mitford and Hon. Etheldreda Mary Manners-Sutton, on 4 September 1929.1 He died on 17 September 1975 at age 87.1
     He was educated at Eton College, Windsor, Berkshire, England.1 He graduated from Christ Church, Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, England, in 1908 with a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.)1 He graduated from Christ Church, Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, England, in 1913 with a Master of Arts (M.A.)1 He gained the rank of Captain in the Grenadier Guards.1 He was Aide-de-Camp to the Governor of New South Wales in 1914.1 He fought in the First World War, where he was wounded.1 He was Aide-de-Camp to the Viceroy of India between 1918 and 1919.1 He was Vice-Chairman of Shropshire County Council in 1921.1 He was Private Secretary to the Secretary for Mines.1 He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.) for Shropshire in 1927.1 He succeeded as the 4th Baronet Wakeman, of Perdiswell Hall, Worcestershire [U.K., 1828] on 9 February 1929.1 He held the office of High Sheriff of Shropshire in 1934.1 He held the office of Deputy Lieutenant (D.L.) of Shropshire in 1941.1 He was Chairman of Shropshire County Council between 1943 and 1963.1 He held the office of Vice-Lord-Lieutenant of Shropshire in 1950.1 He was appointed Commander, Order of the British Empire (C.B.E.) in 1957.1

George Edgcumbe and Fanny Lucy Shelley.1 She married, firstly, George Edward Earle on 13 April 1871 at East Stonehouse, Devon, England.1 She married, secondly, Lt.-Gen. James Sinclair Thomson on 4 June 1879 at Lewisham, Kent, England.1 She died on 8 June 1915 at Christchurch, Hampshire, England, without issue.1
     From 13 April 1871, her married name became Earle.1 From 4 June 1879, her married name became Thomson.1
