John Williams was born in 1660.1 He was the son of Robert Williams and Margery Browne.2 He married Margaret Fulford, daughter of Thomas Fulford, in 1678.1 He died in 1722, with an elder son (John, born 1680, married Jane, dau of Humphrey Sydenham, of Combe, Somerset.1 He died Spain 1703, in the lifetime of the father (killed ), being ancestor of the WILLIAMSes of Herringston, heirs male of the family) and five daughters:.1
