     Brig.-Gen. Arthur Alexander Wolfe Murray was born on 22 May 1866 at France.1,2 He was the son of James Wolfe Murray and Louisa Grace Hay.3 He married Evelyn Mary Hay Mackenzie, daughter of Colin James MacKenzie, 4th of Portmore, on 12 November 1904.1 He died on 7 December 1918 at age 52 at Peebles-shire, Scotland.1,2
     He fought in the Boer War, where he was wounded and was mentioned in despatches twice.1 He was appointed Companion, Order of the Bath (C.B.)1 He was Assistant Military Secretary to General Officer Commanding, Scottish Command between 1909 and 1912.1 He gained the rank of Lieutenant-Colonel in the Highland Light Infantry.1 He fought in the First World War, where he was mentioned in despatches.1 He gained the rank of Temporary Brigadier-General in 1915.1

     Lady Elizabeth Holles was the daughter of John Holles, 2nd Earl of Clare and Hon. Elizabeth de Vere.1,3 She married Wentworth FitzGerald, 17th Earl of Kildare, son of George FitzGerald, 16th Earl of Kildare and Lady Joan Boyle, circa 1655.1
     From circa 1655, her married name became FitzGerald. After her marriage, Lady Elizabeth Holles was styled as Countess of Kildare in 1660.

     John Holles, 2nd Earl of Clare was born on 13 June 1595 at Haughton, Nottinghamshire, EnglandG.1 He was the son of John Holles, 1st Earl of Clare and Anne Stanhope.1,2 He married Hon. Elizabeth de Vere, daughter of Horatio de Vere, 1st and last Baron Vere of Tilbury and Mary Tracy, on 4 September 1626 at St. Batholomew's-the-Great, London, EnglandG.1 He died on 2 January 1665/66 at age 70 at Haughton, Nottinghamshire, EnglandG.1 He was buried on 23 January 1665/66 at St. Mary's Church, Nottingham, Nottinghamshire, EnglandG.1 His will was proven (by probate) on 30 May 1666.1
     He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for East Retford from February 1623/24 to June 1626.1 He was styled as Lord Houghton between 2 November 1624 and 1637.1 He was appointed Knight on 2 June 1625 at Greenwich, London, EnglandG.1 He succeeded as the 2nd Earl of Clare, co.      John FitzGerald, 18th Earl of Kildare was born in 1661.2 He was the son of Wentworth FitzGerald, 17th Earl of Kildare and Lady Elizabeth Holles.2 He married, firstly, Hon. Mary O'Brien, daughter of Henry O'Brien, Lord O'Brien and Katherine Stuart, Baroness Clifton (of Leighton Bromswold).1 He married, secondly, Lady Elizabeth Jones, daughter of Richard Jones, 1st and last Earl of Ranelagh and Hon. Elizabeth Willoughby, on 12 June 1684.2 He died on 9 November 1707, without surviving issue.2
     He succeeded as the 18th Earl of Kildare [I., 1316] on 5 March 1663/64.2 He succeeded as the 4th Baron Offaly [I., 1599] on 5 March 1663/64.2 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) (Whig) for Tregony from 1694 to 1695.2

     Lady Elizabeth FitzGerald was the daughter of George FitzGerald, 16th Earl of Kildare and Lady Joan Boyle.1 She married, firstly, Callaghan MacCarty, 3rd Earl of Clancarty, son of Donough MacCarty, 1st Earl of Clancarty and Eleanor Butler.1 She married, secondly, Sir William Davys, son of Sir Paul Davys and Margaret Ussher, on 17 June 1682 at Dublin, County Dublin, IrelandG.1 She died circa February 1697/98 at Dublin, County Dublin, IrelandG.1 She was buried on 15 February 1697/98 at St. Martin-in-the-Fields Church, Covent Garden, London, EnglandG.1 Her will (dated 4 to 5 February 1697/8) was proven (by probate) on 12 May 1698.1
