     Lt.-Col. Hugh Greville Young was born on 4 November 1882.¹ He was the son of Reverend Henry Savill Young and Rebecca Isabella Brewis.² He married Constance Findlay, daughter of Brigadier General Neil Douglas Findlay, on 15 January 1919.¹ He died on 5 November 1950 at age 68.¹
