     Colonel Edward Rycaut was the son of Captain James Rycaut.1 He died on 8 July 1763 at Piccadilly, London, England.1
     He was commissioned, in the service of the Royal Regiment.1 He gained the rank of Colonel in the Royal Marines.1 He fought in the Seven Years War, where he was wounded.1 He held the office of Governor of Roatten Island, Honduras in 1761.1
