     Dr. Thomas Leslie Crooke was born on 4 March 1861.1 He was the son of Reverend Milward Crooke and Emily Hackett.1 He died on 1 November 1943 at age 82 at Christchurch, New Zealand.1 He was buried at Linwood Cemetery, Christchurch, New Zealand.1

     Sir Richard Manners was the son of George Manners, 11th Lord de Ros of Helmsley and Anne St. Leger.2 He married, firstly, Margaret Dymoke, daughter of Sir Robert Dymoke and Anne Cresmore.1 He died in 1551.1
     He was appointed Knight in 1539.3 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Leicestershire in 1542.3 In 1547 he had a grant of lands in Leicestershire, Shropshire, Staffordshire and Worcestershire.2 He held the office of Sheriff of Warwickshire and Leicestershire from 1549 to 1550.3
