     Ronald Campbell of Balerno was the son of Alexander Campbell and unknown daughter MacAllister.1 He married, secondly, Margaret Hamilton, daughter of James Hamilton of Hetherwick, on 25 March 1697.1 He died on 30 August 1726.1
     He was Deputy Keeper of the Signet.1 He was a practising Writer to the Signet (W.S.)1
