     Sir Michael Wemyss of Wemyss was born before 1304.2 He was the son of Sir David Wemyss of Wemyss and Marjory Ramsay.3,1 He died circa 1342.2
     He was appointed Knight circa 1316.3 He fought in the Battle of Halidon Hill in 1333, where he was captured by the English.3 He was set free after swearing fealty to King Edward III.3
