     Archibald Primrose, 2nd Viscount Primrose was born before 1703. He was the son of William Primrose, 1st Viscount Primrose and Lady Eleanor Campbell.1 He died on 19 June 1716, unmarried.1
     He succeeded as the 2nd Lord Primrose and Castlefield [S., 1703] on 13 June 1706.1 He succeeded as the 4th Baronet Primrose, of Carrington [N.S., 1651] on 13 June 1706.1 He succeeded as the 2nd Viscount Primrose [S., 1703] on 13 June 1706.1

     Lt.-Col. Hugh Primrose, 3rd Viscount Primrose was born circa 1703.1 He was the son of William Primrose, 1st Viscount Primrose and Lady Eleanor Campbell.1 He died on 8 May 1741, without issue.1
     He succeeded as the 5th Baronet Primrose, of Carrington [N.S., 1651] on 19 June 1716.1 He succeeded as the 3rd Lord Primrose and Castlefield [S., 1703] on 19 June 1716.1 He succeeded as the 3rd Viscount Primrose [S., 1703] on 19 June 1716.1 He gained the rank of Captain in 1727 in the Inniskilling Dragoons.1 In 1735 he served with the Imperial Army agains the French, and was shot behind the ear in a skirmish with French irreguluars near Claussen. The bullet later emerged at an eye.1 He gained the rank of Lieutenant-Colonel in the General Dalziel's Regiment.1
