     James Murray Grierson was born on 19 August 1708 at Edinburgh, Midlothian, Scotland.1 He was the son of Thomas Hamilton Grierson and Elizabeth Gibson.1,2 He married Margaret Robertson on 4 March 1735 at Edinburgh, Midlothian, Scotland.1 He died after 30 January 1747.1

     He gained the title of 2nd Baronet Halkett, of Pitferrane.

     Charles Wedderburn was born on 29 May 1696.1 He was the son of Sir Peter Halkett of Pitferrane, 1st Bt. and Janet Halkett.2 He was baptised on 30 May 1696 at Aberlady, East Lothian, Scotland.1 He married Mary Wardlaw, daughter of Sir Henry Wardlaw of Pitreavie, 6th Bt. and Elizabeth Halkett.2 He died on 20 June 1756 at age 60 at Calcutta, India.1
     He lived at Gosford, East Lothian, Scotland.2

     Her married name became Wedderburn.1

     Elizabeth Fletcher was the daughter of Andrew Fletcher of Saltoun.1 She married Sir John Wedderburn Halkett of Pitferrane, 4th Bt., son of Charles Wedderburn and Mary Wardlaw, in 1758.1 She died on 18 December 1758.1
     From 1758, her married name became Halkett.1
