Francisco Xavier da Silva Lobo, in 1777 at Olivença, Portugal.¹ He died on 13 February 1780 at age 51 at St. Marylebone, London, England.¹
     He was educated at St. Andrews University, St. Andrews, Fife, Scotland.¹ He fought in the Jacobite Uprising in 1745, where he was captured by the British, condemned to death but escaped to France in 1747.¹ He gained the rank of Captain in 1761 in the French Army.¹ He gained the rank of Major in 1762 in the Portuguese Army.¹ He gained the rank of Colonel in 1763 in the 1st Infantry Regiment.¹ He gained the rank of Major-General in 1775.¹
