     Ellis Edward Arthur Chetwynd-Talbot was born on 22 March 1920.¹ He was the son of Reverend Arthur Henry Chetwynd-Talbot and Eveline Mary Ashton.¹ He died in October 1941 at age 21 at Malta, while on special duty with the Royal Air Force.¹
     He was appointed Member, Order of the British Empire (M.B.E.)¹ He gained the rank of 2nd Lieutenant in 1940 in the Royal Engineers.^1,2 He was awarded the George Cross (G.C.) on 17 September 1940.¹

     She graduated from St. Anne's College, Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, England, in 1932 with a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.)¹ She was with the Women's Royal Volunteer Reserve during the Second World War.¹
