     Captain Sir Walter Robert Buchanan Riddell, 12th Bt. was born on 21 April 1879.² He was the son of Sir John Walter Buchanan Riddell, 11th Bt. and Sarah Isabella Wharton.² He married Hon. Rachel Beatrice Lyttelton, daughter of Charles George Lyttelton, 8th Viscount Cobham and Hon. Mary Susan Caroline Cavendish, on 28 August 1919.¹ He died on 5 June 1934 at age 55.²

     Sir John Charles Buchanan Riddell of that Ilk, 13th Bt. was born on 3 January 1934. He was the son of Captain Sir Walter Robert Buchanan Riddell, 12th Bt. and Hon. Rachel Beatrice Lyttelton.¹ He married Hon. Sarah Richardson, daughter of Gordon William Humphrey Richardson, Baron Richardson of Duntisbourne and Margaret Alison Sheppard, on 31 July 1969.² He died on 24 July 2010 at age 76.³

     Her married name became Pumphrey. She lived in 2003 at Caistron, Thropton, Morpeth, Northumberland, England.¹

     Sir John Lawrence Pumphrey was born on 22 July 1916.¹ He was the son of Charles Ernest Pumphrey and Iris Mary Bell.¹ He married Jean Riddell, daughter of Captain Sir Walter Robert Buchanan Riddell, 12th Bt. and Hon. Rachel Beatrice Lyttelton, on 1 June 1945.² He died on 23 December 2009 at age 93 at Northumberland, England.¹
     He fought in the Second World War, where he became a POW.¹ He was appointed Companion, Order of St. Michael and St. George (C.M.G.) in 1963.¹ He held the office of High Commissioner to Pakistan between 1971 and 1972.¹ He held the office of Ambassador to Pakistan between 1972 and 1976.¹ He was appointed Knight Commander, Order of St. Michael and St. George (K.C.M.G.) in 1973.²

     Matthew James Pumphrey was born in 1946.¹ He is the son of Sir John Lawrence Pumphrey and Jean Riddell.¹ He married Pamela Mary Clare Irving, daughter of James Wyllie Irving, in 1976.¹

     Charles Walter Bartholomew Pumphrey was born in 1948.¹ He was the son of Sir John Lawrence Pumphrey and Jean Riddell.¹ He married Cynthia Penelope Helen Bruce, daughter of David Bruce and Elizabeth Joan Gregson-Ellis, in 1981.² He died on 7 March 2012.³
     He was appointed Fellow, Royal College of Physicians, London (F.R.C.P.)³ He graduated with a Doctor of Medicine (D.M.)³

     Jonathan Henry Pumphrey was born in 1954.¹ He is the son of Sir John Lawrence Pumphrey and Jean Riddell.¹ He married Nicola White, daughter of J. A. White, in 1982.¹
