     Most Rev. Matthew Hutton was born on 3 January 1692/93 at Marske, Yorkshire, England.1 He was the son of John Hutton and Dorothy Dyke.1 He married Mary Lutman, daughter of John Lutman, in March 1731/32.1 He died on 18 March 1758 at age 65.1
     He was educated at Jesus College, Cambridge University, Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, England.1 He graduated in 1728 with a Doctor of Divinity (D.D.)1 He held the office of Bishop of Bangor between 1743 and 1747.1 He held the office of Archbishop of York between 1747 and 1757.1 He held the office of Archbishop of Canterbury between 1757 and 1758.1
