     Sir Francis Jacob Dugdale Astley, 6th Bt. was born on 26 October 1908.1 He was the son of Reverend Anthony Aylmer Astley and Margaret Lily Gooch.1,2 He married Brita Margareta Josefina Nyström, daughter of Karl Nyström, on 27 August 1934.1 He died in 1994.3
     He was educated at Marlborough College, Marlborough, Essex, England.1 He was educated at Trinity College, Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, England.1 He gained the rank of Captain in the Intelligence Corps.1 He succeeded as the 6th Baronet Astley, of Everley, co. Wilts [U.K., 1821] in September 1943.1 He was senior lecturer between 1948 and 1961 at University College, Ghana.1 He was head of the classics department in 1962 at Atlantic College, St. Donats Castle, Glamorgan, WalesG.1
