     Margaret Emma Retner was the daughter of Arthur Retner.1 She married George Rowland Blades, 1st Baron Ebbisham, son of Rowland Hill Blades and Agnes Amelia Fletcher, on 17 January 1907.1 She died on 2 November 1965.1
     From 17 January 1907, her married name became Blades.1 After her marriage, Margaret Emma Retner was styled as Baroness Ebbisham on 5 July 1928. She was appointed Member, Order of the British Empire (M.B.E.) in 1943.1 She was appointed Officer, Most Venerable Order of the Hospital of St. John of Jerusalem (O.St.J.)1
