     Annie Elizabeth Ellerman was born on 2 September 1894 at Margate, Kent, England.1 She was the daughter of Sir John Reeves Ellerman, 1st Bt. and Hannah Glover.1 She married Robert McAlmon in 1921.1 She and Robert McAlmon were divorced in 1927.1 She died on 28 January 1983 at age 88 at Vevey, Switzerland.1
     Annie Elizabeth Ellerman used the pen-name of Bryher.1 She was a novelist.1 She wrote the book Visa for Avalon, published 1952.1
