James Hewett1

     James Hewett was born on 16 September 1868.1 He was the son of Colonel George Ludlow Kennedy Hewett and Catherine Henrietta O'Connell Fitzsimon.1 He married, firstly, Christina Lydia Brind in 1895 at India.1 He married, secondly, Gladys Florence Ellis Henson, daughter of Frank Rawle Henson, on 25 September 1922.1
     He fought in the North-West Frontier Campaign.1 He retired from the military in 1917, with the rank of Major, late of the Royal Army Pay Corps.1

     Colonel George Ludlow Kennedy Hewett is the son of Major James Hewett.1 He married Catherine Henrietta O'Connell Fitzsimon, daughter of Christopher Fitzsimon and Ellen O'Connell, on 25 November 1862 at Glencullen, County Dublin, IrelandG.1
     He was appointed Companion, Order of the Bath (C.B.)1 He gained the rank of Colonel in the Bengal Cavalry.1

     He gained the rank of Major in the 52 Bengal Native Infantry.1 He fought in the Afghan War in 1848.1
