     Giovanni Battista Giacometti married Caroline Prodgers, daughter of Reverend Edwin Prodgers and Caroline Blades, on 15 February 1862 at St. Marylebone Church, Marylebone, London, England.1 He died on 10 May 1897 at Brighton, Sussex, England.1
     He was naturalized as a a British citizen in 1876.1 In 1876 his name was legally changed to John Grafton.1

     Ferdinand Grafton was the son of Giovanni Battista Giacometti and Caroline Prodgers.1 He married, firstly, Elizabeth Shore in 1888.1 He and Elizabeth Shore were divorced in 1898.1 He married, secondly, Rose Sykes in April 1905 at Boston, Massachusetts, U.S.A.1 He died in January 1906.1
     He emigrated to Natal, South Africa.1
