     Sir John William Buchanan-Jardine of Castlemilk, 3rd Bt. was born on 7 March 1900.2 He was the son of Sir Robert William Buchanan Jardine of Castlemilk, 2nd Bt. and Ethel Mary Piercy. He married, firstly, Jean Barbara Hamilton, daughter of Lord Ernest William Hamilton and Pamela Campbell, on 8 June 1921.1 He and Jean Barbara Hamilton were divorced in 1944.1 He married, secondly, Prudence Audrey Haggie, daughter of William Haggie, on 12 December 1944.2 He died on 5 November 1969 at age 69.1
     He was given the name of John William Jardine at birth.3 He was educated at Eton College, Windsor, Berkshire, EnglandG.2 He was educated at Royal Military College, Sandhurst, Berkshire, EnglandG.2 He was Master of the Foxhounds, Dumfries-shire in 1921.2 He was educated at Trinity College, Cambridge University, Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, EnglandG.3 He succeeded as the 3rd Baronet Jardine, of Castlemilk, co.
