     James Allen David Woodhouse, 4th Baron Terrington was born on 30 December 1915.1 He was the son of Horace Martin Woodhouse, 3rd Baron Terrington and Valerie Phillips.1 He married Suzanne Irwin, daughter of Colonel Thomas Strutt Irwin and Marjorie Willis Lacy, on 7 November 1942.1 He died on 6 May 1998 at age 82.1
     James Allen David Woodhouse, 4th Baron Terrington usually went by his middle name of David.1 He was educated at Winchester College, Winchester, Hampshire, England.1 He was educated at Royal Military College, Sandhurst, Berkshire, England.1 He fought in the Second World War, where he was wounded.1 He was Aide-de-Camp to General Officer Commanding. Madras in 1940.1 He was Major in 1948, Norfolk Regiment.1 He was partner of Messrs Sheppards and Chase between 1952 and 1980.1 He was director of S. J. Carr and Company (Gunmakers) Ltd.1 He succeeded as the 4th Baron Terrington, of Huddersfield, co. York [U.K., 1918] on 7 January 1961.1

     Rena de Vere Humphrey Shapland Swiny was born circa October 1898 at Marylebone, London, EnglandG.1 She was the daughter of Captain William Molyneux Shapland Swiny and Violet Jerningham.1 She married, firstly, Harry Howell in 1917.2 She and Harry Howell were divorced in 1920.2 She married, secondly, William Frederick Mario Humphrey in 1921.2 She and William Frederick Mario Humphrey were divorced in 1927.2 She married, thirdly, Harold James Selborne Woodhouse, 2nd Baron Terrington, son of James Thomas Woodhouse, 1st Baron Terrington and Jessie Reed, on 28 July 1927 at British Consulate, Boulogne, France.3 She married, fourthly, Anthony James Billingham on 9 January 1938 at Reno, Nevada, U.S.A.3 She died on 21 August 1965 at Baldwin, Georgia, U.S.A.3
     From 1917, her married name became Howell.2 From 1921, her married name became Humphrey.2 After her marriage, Rena de Vere Humphrey Shapland Swiny was styled as Baroness Terrington on 28 July 1927. From 28 July 1927, her married name became Woodhouse. From 9 January 1938, her married name became Billingham.3

     Captain William Molyneux Shapland Swiny is the son of Captain Shapland Swiny.1 He married Violet Jerningham, daughter of Augustus Frederick FitzHerbert Stafford-Jerningham, 10th Baron Stafford and Mary Pullin, on 4 June 1897 at Portsea, Hampshire, EnglandG.1
     He lived at Cloghannon, County Wexford, Ireland.2 He gained the rank of Captain in the 42nd Royal Highlanders.2

     James Thomas Woodhouse, 1st Baron Terrington was born on 16 July 1852.3 He was the son of James Thomas Woodhouse and Dorothy Marton.4 He married Jessie Reed, daughter of Walter James Reed, on 9 August 1876.3 He died on 8 February 1921 at age 68.3
     He was educated at Hull College, Hull, Yorkshire, England.3 He graduated from University College London, London, England, in 1871 with a Bachelor of Laws (LL.B.)3 He held the office of Mayor of Hull between 1890 and 1891.3 He was appointed Knight in 1895.3 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) (Liberal) for Huddersfield between 1895 and 1906.3 He was a practising Solicitor.1 He gained the rank of Major in the 1st Volunteer Battalion, East Yorkshire Regiment.3 He was chairman of the Royal Commission on Losses under the Defence of the Realm Act in 1915.3 He was created 1st Baron Terrington, of Huddersfield, co.      Jessie Reed was the daughter of Walter James Reed.1 She married James Thomas Woodhouse, 1st Baron Terrington, son of James Thomas Woodhouse and Dorothy Marton, on 9 August 1876.1 She died on 25 May 1942.1
     Her married name became Woodhouse. After her marriage, Jessie Reed was styled as Baroness Terrington on 19 January 1918.

     Horace Martin Woodhouse, 3rd Baron Terrington was born on 27 October 1887.1 He was the son of James Thomas Woodhouse, 1st Baron Terrington and Jessie Reed.1 He married, firstly, Valerie Phillips, daughter of George Allen Phillips, on 28 May 1914.1 He married, secondly, Phyllis Mary Drew, daughter of William Wilson Drew, on 22 October 1959.1 He died on 7 January 1961 at age 73.1
     He was educated at Winchester College, Winchester, Hampshire, England.1 He was educated at New College, Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, England.1 He was admitted to Inner Temple in 1911 entitled to practise as a barrister.1 He was appointed Commander, Order of the British Empire (C.B.E.) in 1919.1 He succeeded as the 3rd Baron Terrington, of Huddersfield, co. York [U.K., 1918] on 19 November 1940.1 He was Principal Assistant, Secretary of the Ministry of Labour between 1941 and 1944.1 He was chairman of the Industrial Court in 1947.1 He was chairman of the National Arbitration Tribunal in 1947.1 He held the office of Deputy Speaker, House of Lords in 1948.1 He was appointed Knight Commander, Order of the British Empire (K.B.E.) in 1952.1
