     He gained the rank of officer in the 17th Foot.¹

     Rose Weston was the daughter of Henry Weston.¹ She married Albemarle Henry Bertie, son of Reverend Hon. Frederic Bertie and Lady Georgina Anne Emily Kerr, in 1888.¹ She died in 1913.¹
