     Wilhelm-Karl Adalbert Erich Detloff Prinz von Preußen was born on 30 January 1922 at Potsdam, Brandenburg, Germany.1 He was the son of Oskar Karl Gustav Adolf Prinz von Preußen and Ina-Marie Helene Adele Elise von Bassewitz-Levetzow, Countess von Bassewitz-Levetzow.2 He married Irmgard Else Helene von Veltheim, daughter of Friedrich von Veltheim and Ottonie von Alvensleben, on 1 March 1952.1 He died on 9 April 2007 at age 85.3
     Wilhelm-Karl Adalbert Erich Detloff Prinz von Preußen was a member of the House of Hohenzollern. He gained the title of Prinz von Preußen (styled as HRH Prince of Prussia).2 He gained the title of Count von Ruppin.4
