She was the daughter of Philip Wilhelm Kurfürst von der Pfalz and Elisabeth Amalie Prinzessin von Hessen-Darmstadt.1 She married Pedro II de Bragança, Rei de Portugal, son of João IV de Bragança, Rei de Portugal and Luiza Maria de Guzman, on 11 August 1687. She died on 4 August 1699 at age 32 at Lisbon, PortugalG.
     She gained the title of Pfalzgräfin Marie Sophie von Neuburg.3
