     Lt.-Col. Sir Henry Christopher Carden, 4th Bt. was born on 16 October 1908.3 He is the son of Major Sir Frederick Henry Walter Carden, 3rd Bt. and Winifred Mary Wroughton.2 He married, firstly, Jane St. Clare Daniell, daughter of Thomas Edward St. Clare Daniell, on 5 June 1943.3 He and Jane St. Clare Daniell were divorced in 1961.3 He married, secondly, Gwyneth Sybil Acland, daughter of Herbert Arthur Dyke Acland and Maud Kathleen Branson, on 8 November 1962.1 He died on 4 February 1993 at age 84.3
     Lt.-Col. Sir Henry Christopher Carden, 4th Bt. was educated at Eton College, Eton, Berkshire, England.3 He was educated at Royal Military College, Sandhurst, Berkshire, England.3 He fought in the Second World War.3 He gained the rank of Lieutenant-Colonel in the service of the 17th/21st Lancers.3 He was invested as a Officer, Order of the British Empire (O.B.E.) in 1945.3 He was Military Attaché to Stockholm between 1951 and 1955.3 He was decorated with the Commander, Order of the Sword of Sweden (2nd class).3 He succeeded to the title of 4th Baronet Carden, of Molesey [U.K., 1887] on 22 September 1966.3
