     Rowena Laura Ronald was the daughter of Rowand Ronald.2 She married, firstly, Captain Alexander Lester Copland before 1870.1 She married, secondly, Lt.-Col. Sir Frederick Walter Carden, 2nd Bt., son of Sir Robert Walter Carden, 1st Bt. and Pamela Elizabeth Edith Andrews, on 23 September 1870.1 She died on 28 August 1910.1
     From before 1870, her married name became Copland.1 From 23 September 1870, her married name became Carden.

     Lt.-Col. Ronald James Walter Carden was born on 3 April 1876.1 He was the son of Lt.-Col. Sir Frederick Walter Carden, 2nd Bt. and Rowena Laura Ronald.2 He died on 10 July 1916 at age 40, killed in action.1
     Lt.-Col. Ronald James Walter Carden fought in the First World War.1 He gained the rank of Major in the service of the 17th Lancers.1 He gained the rank of Temporary Lieutenant-Colonel in the service of the 16th Royal Welch Fusiliers.1

Sir Frederick Walter Carden, 2nd Bt. and Rowena Laura Ronald.2 She married Bertram Hugh Barton, son of Bertram Francis Barton and Fannie Annie Cutler, on 26 July 1899.1 She died on 19 October 1937 at age 66.1
     From 26 July 1899, her married name became Barton.3

     Major Sir Frederick Henry Walter Carden, 3rd Bt. was born on 17 October 1873.1 He was the son of Lt.-Col. Sir Frederick Walter Carden, 2nd Bt. and Rowena Laura Ronald.2 He married Winifred Mary Wroughton, daughter of Philip Wroughton, on 27 April 1901.1 He died on 22 September 1966 at age 92.1
     Major Sir Frederick Henry Walter Carden, 3rd Bt. was educated at Marlborough College, Marlborough, Wiltshire, England.1 He was educated at Pembroke College, Cambridge University, Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, England.1 He fought in the Boer War between 1899 and 1900.1 He gained the rank of Major in the service of the 1st Life Guards.1 He succeeded to the title of 3rd Baronet Carden, of Molesey [U.K., 1887] on 4 December 1909.1 He fought in the First World War.1 He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.) for Hampshire in 1919.1 He was High Sheriff of Hampshire in 1922.1 He held the office of Deputy Lieutenant (D.L.) of Berkshire in 1936.1
