Sir Frederick Walter Carden, 2nd Bt., son of Sir Robert Walter Carden, 1st Bt. and Pamela Elizabeth Edith Andrews, on 23 September 1870.¹ She died on 28 August 1910.¹
     From before 1870, her married name became Copland.¹ From 23 September 1870, her married name became Carden.

     Major Sir Frederick Henry Walter Carden, 3rd Bt. was born on 17 October 1873.¹ He was the son of Lt.-Col. Sir Frederick Walter Carden, 2nd Bt. and Rowena Laura Ronald.² He married Winifred Mary Wroughton, daughter of Philip Wroughton, on 27 April 1901.¹ He died on 22 September 1966 at age 92.¹
     Major Sir Frederick Henry Walter Carden, 3rd Bt. was educated at Marlborough College, Marlborough, Wiltshire, England.¹ He was educated at Pembroke College, Cambridge University, Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, England.¹ He fought in the Boer War between 1899 and 1900.¹ He gained the rank of Major in the service of the 1st Life Guards.¹ He succeeded to the title of 3rd Baronet Carden, of Molesey [U.K., 1887] on 4 December 1909.¹ He fought in the First World War.¹ He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.) for Hampshire in 1919.¹ He was High Sheriff of Hampshire in 1922.¹ He held the office of Deputy Lieutenant (D.L.) of Berkshire in 1936.¹
