     Colonel Charles Henry Somerset was born in 1819.1 He was the son of Lt.-Gen. Sir Henry Somerset and Frances Sarah Heathcote.1 He married Christina Emma Thompson, daughter of R. W. Thompson, in 1848.1 He died on 4 November 1863.1
     Colonel Charles Henry Somerset gained the rank of Colonel in the service of the 72nd Foot.1 He was invested as a Companion, Order of the Bath (C.B.).1
