     Robert Balfour was born on 7 April 1772 at Scotland.2 He was the son of James Balfour and Betty Caw.1 He married Isabella Edmond, daughter of George Edmond and Jean Thomson, on 29 December 1817.3,4 He died on 30 January 1847 at age 74 at Southfield, Stirlingshire, Scotland.3,4

     Isabella Edmond was born in 1769. She was the daughter of James Edmond. She married Thomas Balfour, son of James Balfour and Betty Caw, circa 1805.2 She died on 10 September 1836 at Southfield Stirlingshire, Scotland.2
      From circa 1805, her married name became Balfour.1

     Betty Caw was born in 1745 at Edinburgh, Midlothian, Scotland.2 She married James Balfour, son of Robert Balfour and Lilias Alexander, on 18 September 1767.3,4 She died in 1788.1
      From 18 September 1767, her married name became Balfour.1

     Sir William Russell, 1st and last Bt. was born between 1617 and 1640.2 He was the son of Sir William Russell, 1st Bt. and Elizabeth Smallpage.2 He married Hesther Rouse, daughter of Sir Thomas Rouse, Bt.. He died before 1714, without male issue.2
      Sir William Russell, 1st and last Bt. also went by the nick-name of 'the white Sir William'.2 He was created 1st Baronet Russell, of Langherne, Carmarthenshire [England] on 8 November 1660.2

     Sir Robert Cotton, 1st Bt. was born circa 1635.2 He was the son of Thomas Cotton and Elizabeth Calveley.3 He married Hester Salusbury, daughter of Sir Thomas Salusbury, 2nd Bt. and Hester Tyrell.2 He died on 17 December 1712.2
     He was invested as a Knight in 1660.2 He was created 1st Baronet Cotton, of Combermere, co. Chester [England] on 29 March 1677.2 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Cheshire between 1679 and 1702.2
