     Sir Albert Francis Abbott was educated at Mackay State School, Mackay, Queensland, Australia.1 He was educated at Mount Martin State School, Mount Martin, Queensland, Australia.1 He fought in the Second World War between 1941 and 1945, in the Royal Australian Air Force.1 He held the office of Mayor of Mackay, Queensland between 1970 and 1988.1 He was invested as a Commander, Order of the British Empire (C.B.E.) in 1974.1 He was invested as a Knight in 1981.1 He held the office of Honorary Director of Central Queensland University in 1996.1 He lived in 2003 at 2 Tudor Court, Mackay, Queensland, Australia.1
