Sir Archibald Acheson, 1st Bt. was born circa 1580 at Edinburgh, Midlothian, Scotland.2 He was the son of Captain Patrick Acheson and Martha Drummond.1,2 He married, firstly, Agnes Vernor before 1610.1 He married, secondly, Margaret Hamilton, daughter of Sir John Hamilton and Johanna Everard, circa 20 July 1619 at Clonekearney, County Armagh, Ireland.3,4 He died on 9 September 1634 at house of Sir William Sempill, Letterkenny, County Donegal, Ireland.1 He was buried on 8 October 1634 at Mullaghbracke, County Armagh, Ireland.1
