Sir Gilbert Affleck, 2nd Bt. was born on 24 December 1740.1 He was the son of John Affleck and Sarah Metcalfe.1 He married Mary Clark, daughter of Thomas Clark, on 18 July 1796.1 He died on 17 July 1808 at age 67, without issue.1 His will (dated 28 January 1779) was probated on 7 October 1808.1
Sir Gilbert Affleck, 2nd Bt. succeeded to the title of 2nd Baronet Affleck, of Dalham Hall, co. Suffolk [G.B., 1782] on 19 November 1788.1
