     Richard Mark Walter Agnew usually went by his middle name of Mark.¹ He was educated at Royal Naval College, Dartmouth, Devon, England.¹ He gained the rank of Lieutenant in the service of the Royal Navy.¹ He was Aide-de-Camp to the Governor of Malta between 1954 and 1955.¹
