Lt.-Cdr. Walter Lockett Agnew was born on 4 May 1898.1 He was the son of Charles Leonard Agnew and Alice Rowley Nelson.1 He married Rosamund Mildred Robertson, daughter of Field Marshal Sir William Robert Robertson, 1st Bt., on 10 May 1922.1 He died on 12 July 1942 at age 44.1
Lt.-Cdr. Walter Lockett Agnew was educated at Royal Naval College, Osborne, Isle of Wight, England.1 He was educated at Royal Naval College, Dartmouth, Devon, England.1 He gained the rank of Lieutenant in the service of the Royal Navy.1 He gained the rank of Lieutenant-Commander in 1939.1
