     Nellie Phyllis Aird was the daughter of Major Sir John Aird, 2nd Bt. and Alicia Ellen Renton.1 She married Captain William Noel Cunliffe, son of Captain Ellis Brooke Cunliffe, on 12 July 1910.1 She died in 1976.1
     Nellie Phyllis Aird usually went by her middle name of Phyllis.1 From 12 July 1910, her married name became Cunliffe.1

     Captain William Noel Cunliffe gained the rank of Captain in the service of the 3rd Battalion, Shropshire Light Infantry.1
