     Commander Bernard Kieran Charles Arbuthnot was born on 8 November 1909.1 He was the son of Major John Bernard Arbuthnot and Olive Blake.1 He married Rosemary Harold Thompson, daughter of Lt.-Col. Harold Thompson, on 15 April 1939.1 He died on 14 September 1975 at age 65.1
     Commander Bernard Kieran Charles Arbuthnot was educated at Eton College, Eton, Berkshire, England.2 He gained the rank of Commander in the service of the Royal Navy.1 He was decorated with the award of Distinguished Service Cross (D.S.C.).1 He lived in 1975 at Myrtle Grove, Youghal, County Cork, Ireland.3
